Beats Fit Pro is a Bluetooth earbud set designed by Apple. It’s one of the best wireless workout earphones from the company, and it’s worth your attention to check out if you’re looking for an alternative to any other similarly priced fitness gadget on the market.
The AirPods Pro is designed for workouts. They have the same build, but their hardware is more resilient, and they come in a splash-proof case. No sweat will stop them from working perfectly, and wireless performance remains industry-leading. The sound from the speakers may not be as powerful as other Bluetooth earphones, but you'll always be able to hear all of your music without interruption.
They offer up everything you’d expect in a pair of wireless earphones - the comfort that comes with the fabric ids and silicone tips which can take some getting used to, their low profile that stays tucked away while doing your thing, and pure audio experience that isn't going to disappoint.
The device has a charging case with a USB-C port, offers 6 hours of listening time (18 hours of charge in charging case) and five hours of playback time, comes with three sets of silicone ear tips (one size each), and has six different sport-focused modes just like its predecessor.
Beats Fit Pro, available right now for $199.95— the latest version comes in 5 different colors (black, beats black, stone purple, sage gray, and beats white).
The new Fit Pro also comes with special tips for workouts and swimming, which Apple doesn’t include with AirPods and other wireless fitness headphones.
We tested out a set of Fit Pros over several weeks to see how they did during workouts at the gym or on the treadmill, and here’s what we thought about them.
Beats has enhanced the world's most popular earphones with ground-breaking new technology so you can make every minute count.
The new Beats Fit Pro Wireless Sports Earphones are designed for athletes and everyday users alike. They are the only product of their kind to provide unrivaled speed, durability, and comfort. With cutting-edge features like up to 6-12 hours of battery life, Bluetooth® Smart technology, a Secure-Comfort Fit that allows you to wear them while moving or running without the fear of them falling out, and an adjustable W1 chip with ultra-low power sensing that automatically senses when you're in motion.
Apple is one of the biggest names in the tech industry, and its products are instantly recognizable. As such, people know what to expect from Apple’s devices and accessories.
For nearly 40 years, Apple has been producing audio headphones for people looking for style and sound quality, but it’s recently branched out into health-focused products. Much like how Apple’s HealthKit app lets you track your steps and encourage you to move around more often, Beats offers monitoring for heart rate as well as steps taken during workouts and other activities.
Beats Fit Pro offers excellent sound quality, allowing you to enjoy your favorite music on the go. It's also got a plethora of sensors and biometric options, all of which make it easier to track whatever it is you’re doing.
The product looks good and sits well in your ears without any issues from a comfort standpoint. As for battery life, this isn't designed to be used for many hours at a time; the manufacturer says that you get about five hours of continuous playback from each charge. All told, this helps to ensure that your ears stay healthy for years down the road.
One downside with the Fit Pro is that its 6 hours of battery life might sound good, but it's not. Admittedly, that's less than most other wired earbuds on the market, but if you're looking for a more portable device like AirPods, then you can expect more bang for your buck.
Another downside is that it doesn't support Apple's W1 wireless technology. However, this isn't a dealbreaker; the device only has Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, and that's not a big deal for most people.
The verdict is clear: Apple's Fit Pro earbuds are still one of the best choices for people looking for headphones explicitly designed for workouts. They're reasonably priced, easy to use, and offer plenty of features — at least compared to many other fitness devices on the market. Of course, if you want something that's more high-end and has a lot more features, then you can consider pretty much any other Bluetooth headphone set designed specifically for workouts. However, if your priority is getting the most bang for your buck, Beats Fit Pro will suffice.
