To see what add-ins are input data in each program (like Outlook, Word, or Excel), go to File >'' Options and then click on the Add-Ins tab in the menu. Select COM Add-Ins from the Manage dropdown menu and click Go at the bottom of the box. Also, you wouldn't be ready to use OneDrive to back up your files safely. But there is a way to get the best of both worlds: you can sync as little as possible and only do it when you have to. You'll improve performance while still getting the most out of OneDrive.

Use the OneDrive Files On-Demand function in Windows to do this. With it, you could keep only some of your OneDrive files on your PC while still being able to access all of them in the cloud. When you want to get one of those online files, you open it from the cloud. If you delete some files from your PC sync, it should run faster.

Right-click the OneDrive icon on the right side of a Taskbar and choose Settings. Then, click on The settings tab on the dialogue box that appears. Click the box beside Files On-Demand. Now, click the icon for OneDrive and choose Open Folder. OneDrive shows up in a window called File Explorer. Right-click a folder whose files you don't want to store on your PC but only in the cloud, and then choose "Free up space." The files in that folder will no longer be on your hard drive but will still be in OneDrive inside the cloud.
